  Field Dressing tool

 

  This is going to be a short review because there is not just a whole lot for me to say about this thing, but that its AWESOME!!! This is the easiest thing to use.  All you do is insert into the rectum twist about 1-1/2 rotations and pull. Pretty much what the packaging says. But In using it I did discover some recomendations.

 

  Its a good idea to bring small zip ties alog. When you pull the tool out it brings the large intestine out with it. When the intestines are out about 6" you tie off two zip ties apox 1" apart and then cut between them all the way through the intestines. Then just proceed to gut the deer. When using it prevents you from having to cut around the anus while making sure you don't cut anything else. Yes doing that is not hard but this tool makes it so much easier and on top of that. Using the zip ties wont allow the feces to come out while you are gutting, keeping everything clean.

 

   So if you have doubts about spending the money on this, don't. This thing works and works well.  And besides its not but 10-20 bucks depending on where you go.

 

 

 

   One thing to note though, when using this try not to feel sympathy pains.

Yes the animal is already dead but its very difficult for me to not think about it. OUCH!!!!

         Like something out of a horror movie...
